College Football National Champions According To CFB 26

With the college football season a little over a month away, it’s time to start thinking about College Football futures. What better way to do that than with the new CFB 26 game, which was just released? Placing your bets based on a video game may seem reckless. However, if you’re like me, it seems fun. Let’s take a look at who the 2025 College Football National Champions will be according to CFB 26. Stay tuned for more college football futures articles based on CFB26 results.

The SetUp

Before I jump into who you should place your college football national champions futures bets based on CFB 26, let’s talk about the setup real quick. I did not want random league injuries created by a video game to skew results. Yes, injuries happen in real life. However, injuries are so unpredictable, and I wasn’t sure how often CFB26 would throw injuries in.

CFB26 also gives you two roster options. I went with the active roster. From everything I read, it is supposed to give you the most up-to-date roster. It imports it each time, indicating it’s not just the standard roster that the game came with (even though the game is very new).

I set the quarter length to be 15 minutes. None of this five-minute, quickened version of the game, I wanted the simulation to be as close to a real football game as possible, factoring in possible fatigue at different points throughout the season.

Finally, I took control of a defensive coordinator spot on a team that was 0 stars, and changed nothing else. So we have no injuries, fifteen-minute quarters, and active rosters to base our CFB26 outcomes on. The next step was easy. I just simulated to the end of the season, and used that for the results on who the 2025 College Football National Champions were to place our futures bets on, based on the results from CFB 26.

Don’t forget to check back as we have a Heisman bets article based on CFB26, the best College Football futures bets to place, as well as sharing results and bets based on simulating 100 different times. This article is just based on one simulation, the very first simulation.

The 2025 CFB Playoff Bracket

Before getting to the College Football National Champions, let’s take a quick look at which teams made the bracket. The bottom four teams were Ole Miss, Duke, Oregon, and Tulane. I quickly realized how much this game seemed to love Tulane, because spoiler, they won their first game in the bracket. It’s an interesting given that they are +275 to win their conference, +100 to win over 8.5 games, and +800 to make the playoffs.

They may be worth throwing a 2025 college football futures bet on just based on that. CFB 26 likes them to win the conference, and then a sprinkle on making the playoffs. They are +50000 (500/1) to win the College Football National Championship, which isn’t very likely.

The next four teams were Ohio State (+550), Clemson (+1000), Florida (+4000), and Georgia (+700). Finally, the four teams with a first-round bye in the 2025 College Football playoffs were Texas (+550), Texas Tech (+10000), Michigan (+2500), and Miami (+4000).  All teams duked it out, and the final four teams were Miami, Clemson, Oregon, and yes, Tulane. I told you CFB 26 apparently loved Tulane. However, their run ended there.

The final two teams to play for the National Championship were Clemson (+1000) and Miami (+4000).

The 2025 College Football National Champions Futures Bet

After the grueling simulated season and the college football playoffs bracket, two teams faced off. Clemson and Miami, both from the ACC, would meet again to see who would be crowned the 2025 College Football National Champions, according to CFB 26.

I get it, placing your college football futures bets based on a video game outcome isn’t for everyone. However, with all the data points the video game nerds, I mean, game developers have thrown in, it’s worth a shot, isn’t it?

The 2025 National Champions in CFB 26 were the Miami Hurricanes. At +4000, 40/1, right now, a small $10 bet would pay you $400.00.

Miami had quite the overhaul this offseason, and apparently CFB26 loves them getting Carson Beck, the transfer from Georgia. While Beck never flashed the abilities to be considered the top quarterback in college football, he was consistent and won a lot of games with Georgia.

Miami has also replaced its top five wide receivers from 2024, and has a new starting running back. The changes work out well, on the video game at least. The expectation is that Miami will take a more run-heavy approach and help balance the offense for Beck, who looked much better two years ago than he did last year.

After giving up over 30 points in five of their eight ACC games, Miami brought in a new defensive coordinator, Corey Hetherman. Hetherman helped Minnesota have a top-five defense, and there’s hope he can help turn this Miami defense around.

Call me crazy, but I’ve already thrown a unit down just in case the game is on to something. I mentioned I have a Heisman article, a best bets college football futures article, as well as an article based on 100 simulations. Spoiler alert, I’ve started the grueling 100 simulations, and this wasn’t the first time you’ll see Miami’s name as the college football National Champions.
