While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for PFL Europe 2 from Brussels, Belgium for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: PFL Europe 2
PFL Europe Bantamweight Fight: Mahio Campanella vs Matiss Zaharovs
Card Start Time: Saturday (7/5), 12:00pm EST (PFL App)
One of the best values this weekend in the MMA world is the moneyline on Mahio Campanella. The French fighter enters the PFL Europe bantamweight tournament as one of my favorites to win the whole thing. Despite that fact, he’s still just a slight favorite.
The things I like about Campanella is that he has very technical wrestling. He’s not just a brute force guy, but rather uses angles once in on the leg. That has been solid for him as it gets him a takedown in the middle of the cage and gives his opponents no chance to wall walk up. He also has sharp kicks and isn’t afraid to rip the legs.
Both of those things should play up against Zaharovs. The Irish-based Latvian fighter has had issues with those crowding him in the past. He went out in the first round of this tournament last year when Lewis McGrillen pressured him for 15 minutes. I think Campanella can mimic enough of that with his leg kicks and should be able to work his wrestling here too.
