Underdog Fantasy – DFS Picks for July 1

Aaron Judge – Higher than 1.5 Hits + runs + RBI

Aaron Judge has cooled off a bit at this stage of the season – at least when speaking in relative terms. As a result, this projection might not be as desirable as it was a few weeks agao. However, he’s got something working in his favor for this one. Aaron Judges has historically feasted on the pitching of Kevin Gausman. He has 14 hits off of the Blue Jays righty with six of them going for dingers. That comes out to a .829 slugging percentage.

Colton Gordon – Higher than 4.5 Strikeouts

Colton Gordon is following one of my favorite traditions with Underdog Fantasy – taking the higher than on strikeout numbers against the Rockies. Gordon has been higher than this number in four of his last seven starts. On top of that, he’s only been half of strikeout short in each of the other three. With the Rockies striking out nearly 10 times a game, including 15 on Monday night, Gordon should find himself with five.

Ozzie Albies – Higher than 1.5 Hits + runs + RBI

After a slower start to the season, Albies has begun to heat up. He’s riding a three-game hit streak and has hits in six of his last eight games. As an added bonus, he gets Tyler Anderson on the bump who is on the opposite trajectory. Over his last five starts, he’s allowed 19 earned runs to the tune of a 6.93 ERA. These too also have a bit of history. In six plate appearances, Albies had four hits against Anderson with three of them leaving the yard.
