The UFC is away for the week and the stateside promotions have mostly all gone dark. However, we have tons of overseas action coming your way for the holiday weekend. Among the best of those features is PFL Euorpe, which comes to us from Brussels, Belgium. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: PFL Europe 2, we’ll take a closer look at the co-main event of the evening.

MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: PFL Europe 2
PFL Europe 2: Habirora vs roberts
Start Time: 12:00 PM EST – (PFL App)
Taylor Lapilus walks into the co-main event of PFL Europe as the favorite. That’s not a surprise on the books being that he has a fair amount of success in the UFC before coming over to the organization. However, if you look at those who have beat Lapilus in the past, it’s people who can negate his wrestling and match his strength on the feet.
I feel like Ali Taleb does all of those things well. On his run to the PFL MENA bantamweight title, Taleb faced plenty of people who wanted to wrestle him. Few enjoy standing and trading with a guy who has that kind of firepower. He was able to keep all those fights standing and land the big blows.
I like his chances to do that here, even against a step up in competition.
