Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago Cubs

We’ve got some MLB interleague action on tap tomorrow in Wrigley, with the leaders in the National League’s Central division, the Chicago Cubs, hosting the American League Central’s Cleveland Guardians. Despite slowing down over the past month or so, according to the advanced stats, the Cubs remain the top team in the major leagues this season.
Most of the Guardians will be facing a former teammate tomorrow, when lefty Matthew Boyd takes the mound for the home team. Boyd is having the best season of his career this year, ranking in the top 20 in the majors in wins, ERA, and WHIP.
While Chicago hasn’t been on fire lately, Cleveland has been even colder, taking a four-game losing skid into action on Tuesday, and they have only won three of their last 10 games.
When you crunch the numbers and include the Wrigley Field advantage for the Cubs, Chicago is projected to be about two runs better than Cleveland tomorrow night.
