As we continue our look at all the wonderful futures markets available to bet on, as we creep closer and closer to the NFL season. It’s time to look at points scored. We all love productive offenses and rooting for points, and the true degens sometimes like the opposite! So, let’s take a look at the highest and lowest scoring teams’ odds and best bets for the 2025 NFL season.
The Detroit Lions scored 564 points in 2024 to be the most prolific team on the offensive side of the ball. The Buffalo Bills scored 525 points, Baltimore dropped 518, Tampa Bay 502, and the Commanders round out the top five, scoring 485 points in 2024. On the opposite side, it was the Cleveland Browns who put up just 258 points for the lowest number in the league. The New York Giants scored 273, the Patriots 289, and the Raiders 309. The Chicago Bears round out the lowest five scoring teams in 2024 with just 310 points scored.

Cincinnati Bengals +1000
There’s no offense, I’m more in love with going into 2025 than Joe Burrow and his Cincinnati Bengals offense. They checked in with the sixth most points in 2024 with 472. Burrow had the most passing yards in the league last year, and Ja’Marr Chase had the most receiving yards. Chase Brown came on strong as a rookie running back, and both Chase and Tee Higgins got paid. They’ve picked up some defensive pieces, although pass rusher Trey Hendrickson is holding out amidst a contract dispute, and first-round pick Shemar Stewart is doing the same. But overall, this Bengals defense will still be lacking. That should lead to them giving up more points and needing to score more.
Chicago Bears +2200
The Bears are an interesting case at 22/1 odds. Offensive genius Ben Johnson comes over from the Detroit Lions, where his offense was the highest scoring last year. He’s got the second-year quarterback sensation Caleb Williams at the helm, and they’ve completely rebuilt and reloaded this offense. The offensive line has been overhauled with hopes of giving Williams all the time in the world to operate. Rome Odunze, DJ Moore, and rookie Luther Burden III highlight a star-studded wide receiver room. D’Andre Swift remains a strong running back. Cole Kmet returns at tight end with 10th overall NFL Draft selection Colston Loveland, added to the room, and adds yet another strong weapon for Williams. This Bears team could be an offensive threat in 2025.

New Orleans Saints +450
It won’t be an easy task for new Saints Head Coach Kellen Moore as he likely installs rookie Tyler Shough in as the team’s starting quarterback. New coach, new quarterback, new system, it’s all going to be a learning experience for the Saints. Only the Cleveland Browns have shorter odds to be the worst team in the NFL in 2025. Chris Olave is always a big question, and outside of him and an aging Alvin Kamara, their skill position players are questionable at best. It’s probably going to be a tough year for the Saints to put points on the board.
Seattle Seahawks +2500
Seattle has a lot of question marks around their offense and that makes them intriguing at 25/1. Is this Minnesota Sam Darnold at quarterback? Or is it similar to the Matt Flynn signing back in the day. Where ghost-seeing Darnold shows up for the team? DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are both gone from the team, and while Jaxson Smith-Njigba showed flashes last year, can he keep that up is the question. Cooper Kupp joined the team, but how much is left in the tank is still in question as well. This team only scored 375 points last season with solid veteran Geno Smith. Now with all these question marks, it could work out. Or, they could have one of the worst offenses in the league.
