2025 NFL Best Bets: Houston Texans

The NFL season is quickly approaching! Mandatory Mini Camps are here, and the Hall-of-Fame game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions takes place at the end of next month. We’re taking a look at all 32 NFL teams and our best bets for each prior to the 2025 season kicking off. The Houston Texans are up next, so let’s take a look at this edition of the 2025 NFL Best Bets: Houston Texans.

DeMeco Ryans is back for his third year as the Houston Texans’ Head Coach. His young franchise quarterback, CJ Stroud, has been with him for both seasons, and they are looking to build off a 10-7 record in 2024. Nico Collins is joined in the wide receiver room by two rookies, both out of Iowa State. Jayden Higgins was selected with the 34th overall pick, and Jaylin Noel with the 79th.

2025 NFL Best Bets: Houston Texans

Texans Over 9.5 Wins (+105)

Ryans and Stroud are 2-for-2 going over this win total in their two tries. Having a stable franchise quarterback and solid Head Coach can’t be overstated. I’ll keep betting them to get back to 10 until they don’t.

Texans to Win AFC South (+105)

The Titans are a rebuilding team that’s a long way off. Indianapolis has questions, especially about the quarterback. Jacksonville could have something, but it’s a new Head Coach, and they’ve been perennial disappointments. Give me the best coach and quarterback duo in the division.

Nico Collins Over 1125.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Collins burst onto the scene in his third year as a pro in 2023 with 1,297 yards through the air. Last year, he only played 12 games but still managed 1,006 yards. A healthy Collins easily surpasses this number in 2025.
