I whiffed on a baseball best bet a couple of days ago, which is a rarity this season for me. So, I’m heading back to the diamond tomorrow to make it right. Athletics vs Kansas City Royals
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The Athletics’ first season away from Oakland isn’t going so great, as they’ll really have to put their foot on the gas to reach the 71.5 wins they were projected for heading into the season (they are on pace for 60). And if it weren’t for the historically inept Colorado Rockies, they’d be the worst team in the league (based on advanced stats). They head into Kauffman Stadium tomorrow to start a three-game series with the Kansas City Royals on a three-game losing skid.
The Royals are skidding along themselves, as they’ve lost two straight and four of five as of this writing. But they are clearly the better team in this matchup against the Athletics, and they are at home. Plus, they have the better starter on the hill tomorrow in Michael Wacha, going up against the struggling Luis Severino
