NBA Predictions & Preview For Wednesday, June 11th (NBA Finals Game 3)

It serves me right to doubt the Oklahoma City Thunder’s ability to cover a spread based on their performance in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. They’ve been a cash cow for me this season, and I betrayed them and picked the Indiana Pacers +11 for Game 2. Shame on me. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Wednesday, June 11th.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

The NBA Finals shift to the home of the Eastern Conference Champion Indiana Pacers, the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, for Game 3 with the series knotted up 1-1. For the Pacers and their fans, they must be feeling pretty good about their situation, stealing a game in Oklahoma City and having the home court advantage in what is now a best-of-five series.

I hate to rain on their parade, but I don’t expect sunny days on the horizon for Indiana and its faithful. Game 1 seems more like an aberration than a trend, as the Thunder righted the ship in Game 2 and started playing like the Thunder we are used to seeing. And, despite all the publicity he’s getting due to his late-game heroics, OKC’s lockdown defenders have limited Tyrese Haliburton to a very quiet 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game in the series.

And being on the road isn’t an issue for the Thunder, as they were 32-8 away from Oklahoma City during the regular season, and are 4-3 during their postseason run.
