When you check out the top five teams in MLB this season, based on advanced stats, the familiar names are there – the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Mets. However, there are a couple of surprise teams among this group of five. For my best bet for Wednesday, June 11th: MLB Predictions, I’m betting on one of those surprise teams as they go to battle in Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Let’s go!

Detroit Tigers vs Baltimore Orioles
Start Time: 6:35 PM EST
It’s not entirely surprising that the Detroit Tigers are excelling this season – they won 86 games last year and advanced to the American League Division Series. However, they were projected for around 83 wins this year, and they are currently sitting at 43-24, a 104-win pace.
But the Baltimore Orioles, despite all their young talent, are still a mess of a team, only managing 26 wins in 64 games, and they’re a miserable 12-17 at home, where they’ll be playing tomorrow. And the Tigers have beaten them all three times they’ve played this year (with the fourth encounter happening as this is being written).
Plus, Detroit has Casey Mize and his 6-1 record and 2.91 ERA on the bump tomorrow. Despite all of this, we’re getting the Tigers as a slight dog on the moneyline. Yes, please.
