Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals certainly didn’t disappoint, with the Edmonton Oilers storming back from a two-goal deficit to beat the Florida Panthers in overtime. Now, after only a day to catch our breath, it’s time for Game 2. For my best bet for Friday, June 6th: NHL Predictions, we’re headed back to Edmonton’s Rogers Place. Let’s go!
Best Bet For Friday (June 6th): NHL Predictions
Florida Panthers vs Edmonton Oilers
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Rogers Place is a bad place to be for visiting teams these playoffs, as the home team Edmonton Oilers are getting to be untouchable there. A one-goal loss to the Vegas Golden Knights is the only time the Oilers have tasted defeat in eight appearances in front of their home fans on this playoff run.
What a difference a healthy Leon Draisaitl has already made in these Finals for the Oilers. With two goals in Game 1, including the game winner in overtime, he’s now scored two more goals than he did the whole seven-game Finals last June. With Draisaitl cooking along with Connor McDavid, the Oilers are going to be hard to beat.
With that being said, I don’t see how I can pick against Edmonton in Game 2. Despite getting into a hole in the first game, they were the better team. Edmonton on the moneyline is my best bet for Friday.
