Finally, our interminable wait is over (it actually was only four days without basketball, but it felt like forever). The NBA Finals tip off tomorrow night in the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Thursday, June 5th.

Indiana Pacers vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

It’s no surprise that the Oklahoma City Thunder find themselves in the NBA Finals, as they’ve been the best team in the NBA all season, on their way to 80 wins (and counting). However, the Indiana Pacers making it out of the Eastern Conference is a surprise – they were probably the fourth team, at best, that most people would have predicted would make it this far.

Now the Pacers are going to finish off their dream season by hoisting the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy in a couple of weeks, right? Uhh, about that…

This is going to be tough sledding for the Pacers. While their run to the Finals was impressive, the Thunder are a different animal. Getting past the Denver Nuggets a couple of rounds ago was OKC’s coming-of-age moment, and probably was the de facto NBA Finals. Now they seem unstoppable.

Not only unstoppable, but a pretty surefire bet to cover most any sized spread put in front of them, especially at home after having time to rest up. Oklahoma City -14.5 is my line.
