Baseball has been very, very good to me and my daily best bets, so with no Stanley Cup Finals action tomorrow, I’m heading back to the diamond to make my fortune. For my best bet for Thursday, June 5th: MLB Predictions, we’re off to PNC Park in Pittsburgh for some interleague action. Let’s go!
Best Bet For Thursday (June 5th): MLB Predictions
Houston Astros vs Pittsburgh Pirates
Start Time: 6:40 PM EST
You know who baseball isn’t very, very good to? The Pittsburgh Pirates. That’s because the Pittsburgh Pirates aren’t very, very good at baseball. Despite having two of the brightest young talents in the game in Paul Skenes and O’Neil Cruz, the Pirates are mired in another lost season, sitting in last place in the National League’s Central Division with a 23-39 record. The Pirates are well on their way to a tenth straight season where they miss the playoffs.
While the Pirates are bad as per usual, the Houston Astros continue to cruise along as a top team in the majors. After splitting the first two games of this series, the visiting Astros send their ace, Framber Valdez, to the bump tomorrow for the rubber match. Based on my number crunching, Houston should be more than a run better than Pittsburgh tomorrow, and that’s without even taking into account the starting pitchers (Valdez for Houston; the 1-7 Mitch Keller for the Pirates).
Best Bet: Houston ML (-153)
Best Bet Overall Record: 230-207 (53%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): -($498.49)
Return on Investment: -1%
