San Francisco Giants vs Miami Marlins

The San Francisco Giants are having themselves a season as they look to make the playoffs for the first time since 2021. Their 32-26 is solid, and the advanced stats have them tied for sixth in the majors, 0.7 runs better than the average team. However, being in the same division as the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres means they are only third in the National League’s West Division.
The Miami Marlins are having a typical Miami Marlins season, aka they aren’t any good (1.2 runs worse than an average team; a 23-33 record). The Giants should be close to two runs better than them tomorrow, and they have Hayden Birdsong on the mound, who is having a very solid start to his sophomore season (2-1, 2.48 ERA, 1.29 WHIP).
Despite all of this, we’re getting the San Francisco Giants at a very playable moneyline of -122, maybe because the Marlins edged them 1-0 on Saturday.
