NBA Predictions & Preview For Wednesday, May 28th

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

The Minnesota Timberwolves put up a good fight in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals (so good of a fight that they smushed my bet by one point), but it wasn’t enough as the powerhouse Oklahoma City Thunder thwarted them on their home court 128-126. Now the Wolves are fighting for their playoff lives at the most unfortunate spot – Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center.

The Thunder are a sparkling 7-1 at home during this playoff run, with a two-point loss to the Denver Nuggets their only blemish. This includes 26 and 15-point victories over the Timberwolves in the first two games of this series. For the season, they are now a combined 43-7 on their home court. But one of those losses was to Minnesota, so I’m saying there’s a chance?

Nope, that’s not what I’m saying at all. The Thunder – and their top two players, the NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams – are firing on all cylinders. I fully expect OKC to finish the job Wednesday at home. As the point differentials in Games 1 and 2 attest, the Thunder covering the spread tomorrow shouldn’t be an issue.

Best Bet: Oklahoma City -8.5 (-110)

Overall Record: 193-161 (55%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1,444.40
Return on Investment: 4%
