We enter the fourth game of this series with some clear indicators on the early game action. After losing the tip and giving up the first hoop in Game 1, the Knicks have turned things around after that. They come in having won each of the last two tips and scored first in each of those games as well. That success tracks with what we saw from these two teams in the regular season. The Knicks led by 2.0% in terms of first bucket success and a whopping 16.3% in the tip win percentage. With the trend and the data in their favor, we’ll go with the Knicks to stay on a roll in this one.
If we’re looking to get cute in an individual play, I like Mikal Bridges. Not only has he already hit for us once this postseason at +1000, but he’s gotten a lot of early action in this series as well. He’s taken one of the first three shots in two of the last three games. One of those shots was the Knicks’ first shot of the game. With all that early volume and a number like this, you have to be in on Bridges.
