WNBA 2025 Season Futures & Win Totals Best Bets

WNBA 2025 Season Championship Futures: The Favorite

The defending champion New York Liberty are the odds on favorite. Most books currently have the Liberty at just better than 2-to-1 odds to repeat as champions. Only three teams in the history of the WNBA have repeated as champions. The Houston Comets won four in a row from 1997 to 2001, and the Los Angeles Sparks and Las Vegas Aces both managed to repeat. That’s it. Only three teams have managed to follow up on their first championship in league history.

However, the New York Liberty returns the majority of a roster that was good enough to win last year. They’ve added Natasha Cloud to their backcourt. They also expect Finals standout Nyara Sabally to play a larger role in 2025. The Liberty are experienced, deep, and talented.

It wouldn’t come as a shock to see the Liberty repeat in 2025, but at only 2-to-1 odds, there are better places to place a futures bet.

WNBA 2025 Season Championship Futures: Next In Line

The Las Vegas Aces are second on the list for 2025 WNBA champion futures bets. Las Vegas comes in around +350 at most books. At 3 1/2-to-1 the Aces are a bit more appealing than the New York Liberty at 2-to-1.

The Aces were bounced from the playoffs in four games in the semi-final round against the eventual champion New York Liberty. The 2025 version comes back with A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young, and Chelsea Gray, but they swapped Kelsey Plum for Jewell Lloyd.

Lloyd isn’t quite the shooter that Plum is, but Jewell can create her own shot and gives the Aces a true second option on offense. The change of scenery should also help Lloyd return to form, and she won’t have to carry the offense with Las Vegas like she did in Seattle.

Las Vegas could use another big with Cheyenne Parker-Tyus out for the season, but they have a solid rotation of veterans, and A’ja Wilson is still at the height of her powers. The Aces are a contender, but they may need to add another piece before it’s all said and done.

WNBA 2025 Season Championship Futures: The Dark Horse

The Indiana Fever are also at +350, but that’s been bet up due to popularity. The team that sharps need to be on is the Minnesota Lynx at +380. The New York Liberty needed the full five games to knock off the Lynx in the Finals last year, and now they’re fourth in the betting odds list?

Minnesota returns the same tough defensive frontcourt of Napheesa Collier and Alanna Smith, and their backcourt is still as solid as ever with Kayla McBride, and Courtney Williams. They also acquired Karlie Samuelson from Washington, and she figures to see significant minutes after coming off her most productive year as a pro.

The Lynx aren’t flashy, but they have a solid group that stays within their system. They also have a pair of elite defenders down low and enough offense to win. The Lynx could also use one more piece, but they have a deep roster that should be among the league’s best again in 2025.

Connecticut Sun Under 11.5 Wins

The Connecticut Sun have completely turned over their roster and are looking to rebuild. Virtually every name that has been on one of best teams in the W are gone, and they’ve been replaced with…well, replacements. This roster isn’t as god awful as some of the league’s worst teams, but this is a team that will take it’s lumps, especially early.

Tina Charles is on her way out of the league, Marina Mabrey can score, and a couple of the rookies are interesting. However, this team is designed to lose 30+ games and be in the mix for the top pick in next year’s draft. They could even look to shed players ahead of the trade deadline.

Dallas Wings Over 19.5 Wins

Last year, the Indiana Fever went 20-20 after adding Caitlin Clark. This year? The Dallas Wings have added Paige Bueckers, and this roster isn’t nearly as rough as what the Fever started with last year.

Bueckers joins a team that has one of the best shooters in the league in Arike Ogunbwale, and capable bigs. The Wings also added former Connecticut Sun standout DiJonai Carrington. Bueckers isn’t as transformational as Caitlin Clark, but this roster isn’t nearly as bad as the Fever were last year. Look for the Wings to beat up on the bad teams and cruise to at least 20 wins this year.
