While they didn’t win for me and my best bet on Sunday, the Florida Panthers at least fought for my money, coming back and almost winning against the Toronto Maple Leafs on the road. But almost doesn’t win us any money, now does it? For my best bet for Wednesday, May 7th: NHL Predictions, I’m going back to the Panthers well. Let’s go!
Best Bet For Wednesday (May 7th): NHL Predictions
Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
While the Toronto Maple Leafs won Game 1 at home 5-4, it did feature a typical Leafs playoff collapse, as the home team entered the third period with a 4-1 lead (Florida cut it to 4-3 at one point). Toronto also lost their starting goalie, Anthony Stolarz, after a hit to the head sent him out of the game on a stretcher (he’s thought to have a concussion).
With Stolarz probably unlikely to suit up tomorrow (it is hard to say, though, as hockey injuries are kept secretive), and backup Joseph Woll being a sieve in Game 1, you have to like the Florida Panthers’ chances tomorrow. Especially considering they are the defending Stanley Cup Champions and were favored heading into the series.
Florida on the moneyline is my best bet for Wednesday, even though they are a rare road favorite. Let’s go, Cats!
