Los Angeles clippers vs. Denver Nuggets

As this game heads into Game 7, we take a look back at what we’ve seen in this series. The Clippers have a slight advantage on the tip in the series, winning four of the six tipoffs we’ve seen so far. However, we’re in a dead heat when it comes to the first buckets. Each team has scored first in three games during the series. This doesn’t exactly match the regular season stats. In fact, it bucks those trends with the Nuggets having the lead in both metrics over the season. While the 2.0% leads in both categories are hardly enough to go by in themselves, the fact that they are down means we can expect regression to the mean.
If we’re getting greedy and going with an individual player, I’m going with Jamal Murray. He’s taken the first shot for the Nuggets in each of the last three games. With their defense and tip work, that’s equated to having the first shot of the game in two of those contests. You have to love that volume and the law of averages means he’s due for one of these to drop in for us.
