Best Bet For Friday (April 4th): College Basketball Predictions
Texas Longhorns vs South Carolina Gamecocks
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
It’s been a big year for the Southeastern Conference, on both the men’s and women’s sides of the NCAA Tournament. And considering both the Texas Longhorns and the South Carolina Gamecocks are SEC teams, the conference is guaranteed to have a team in the women’s finals.
But which team? There is no doubt that the Longhorns and the Gamecocks are familiar with each other, as this is their fourth matchup this season (South Carolina blew Texas out twice, with the Longhorns winning the other game by four points). While I think the Gamecocks will make it to the finals to try to defend their title, I don’t think this one will be a blowout.
South Carolina has been playing close games throughout this tournament, and after all my number crunching I only have the Gamecocks as a 3.5-point favorite tomorrow night. Texas on the spread is my best bet for Friday.
