Cage Warriors 186 Middleweight Fight: eli Aronov vs will Currie
Card Start Time: Friday (3/21), 1:00pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
Cage Warriors features a Friday matchup between a pair of fighters who previously fought on Contender Series. Both came up short and are pair together here in efforts to get their trip back.
Eli Aronov looked good in his fight until he got caught. He took down Zach Reese and seemed to be in the perfect place to win the fight. However, he then got caught in an armbar and was forced to tap. The point remains that he’s a solid wrestler with great top pressure, even if not great submission defense.
Will Currie, meanwhile had trouble in his fight with positioning. Djorden Santos held him against the cage for long periods of time. As long as Currie doesn’t snatch a submission, he is likely to get controlled en route to a decision for Aronov.
