The NHL is eschewing their annual All-Star Game (which is fine because every sport’s all-star game sucks) and instead has organized something called the 4 Nations Face-Off. Running February 12th to the 20th in Montreal’s Bell Center and Boston’s TD Garden, teams of NHL players from Canada, the United States, Finland, and Sweden will play in a round-robin tournament to find out which nation is supreme on the ice. For my best bet for Thursday, February 13th: 4 Nations Face-Off Predictions, we’re headed to Boston for Team USA’s first game. Let’s go!
Best Bet For Thursday (February 13th): 4 Nations Face-Off Predictions
USA vs Finland
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Not only does the United States get to kick off the tournament on home ice, but they also get to face the team expected to be the weakest among the four teams in the competition, Finland. And the moneyline odds reflect this fact, with the Team USA costing you -335.
So, like for Team Canada on Wednesday, I’m forgoing the moneyline for the puck line for the United States tomorrow night. Powered by Jack Eichel, Auston Matthews, Kyle Connor et al., I’m expecting the USA to have enough firepower (not to mention Connor Hellebuyck between the pipes) to skate away with this one and beat Finland by at least two goals in Beantown.
Best Bet: USA -1.5 (-122)
Best Bet Overall Record: 174-152 (53%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $458.79
Return on Investment: 1%
