Despite UFC 311 barely being in the rear-view, it’s pay-per-view time again in the UFC. UFC 312 goes down this Saturday in Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, with two title fights on top of the card. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC 312, I’m dipping into the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship co-main event. Let’s go!

MMA Prop Pick of the Week: UFC 312

The real bet I would have taken heading into this year is that Saturday’s co-main event wouldn’t happen. That’s because challenger Tatiana Suarez has had a snakebitten career, with injuries keeping her on the shelf since August 2023, and only allowing her 10 MMA fights since she turned pro in 2014 (not to mention her being forced out of training for the 2012 Olympic wrestling team after being diagnosed with cancer).
But Suarez has made it to fight week, at least, and appears to be challenging champ Zhang Weili on Saturday. And I expect her to become the new champ. More specifically, I expect her to use her world-class wrestling and grappling to take the champ down repeatedly and grind out a decision victory.
