The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week, we stay domestic for LFA 200 from Prior Lake, Minnesota for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: LFA 200
LFA Flyweight Title Fight: Shannon Clark vs Cheyanne Bowers
Card Start Time: Saturday (1/25), 9:00pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
Saturday’s LFA 200 touts a trio of title unification bouts. Perhaps the most intriguing is the flyweight fight between Shannon Clark and Cheyanne Bowers.
Bowers got her interim title while Clark was away on Dana White’s Contender Series. While she’s the original champion, she comes in as the underdog due to her result on the show. She was violently KOed in that fight by a huge underdog.
While that isn’t the result Clark wanted, styles make fights. I don’t see Bowers as a real threat to tag her with a big shot. Also, Clark should have a physicality advantage in this fight. With that being said, it really narrows Bowers’ paths to victories down to point fighting or getting a submission off her back. I like Clark’s chances of avoiding both of those and cashing as an underdog here.
