MMA Regional Pick of the Week: LFA 199
LFA Featherweight Fight: Ary Farias vs Erick Visconde
Card Start Time: Friday (1/10), 10:00pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
When the main event of LFA 199 fell apart and Ary Farias needed an opponent for the big main event, he instantly became the favorite to the books. They’re only now realizing what a mistake that may have been. Opening around -160, Farias has fallen like a stone. He’s all the way down to -112 the day of weigh-ins.
This also isn’t just us following the trends. We love the style matchup in this one. Farias is largely one dimensional with a jiu jitsu game that wildly outpaces the rest of what he’s capable of. That’ll be a nightmare for him against a guy like Visconde, who has a solid wrestling game and should be able to dictate where the fight takes place. Additionally, he’s far better on the feet too.
While the line isn’t as pretty as it was early in the week, there’s still value on the late replacement Visconde here.
