New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles Preview and Predictions

The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. A matchup that should have Sports Gambling Podcast hosts Ryan Kramer and Sean Green bickering back and forth with a friendly rivalry for their favorite teams. In Week 18, it doesn’t quite have that feel. That doesn’t mean it won’t be a great game to bet on though! So let’s dive in and take a look at this Giants-Eagles preview and predictions.

The New York Giants entered Week 17 holding the #1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Potential #1 overall pick Shedeur Sanders showed up for Colorado’s Bowl Game wearing Giants cleats. It motivated the team so much they beat the Colts. The first pick is still a possibility, but they’ll likely be in the top five instead.

The Philadelphia Eagles have locked up the #2 seed in the NFC. Even with Kenny Pickett starting last week, and Tanner McKee coming in for his first career snaps when Pickett was injured, the Eagles had no problems with the Dallas Cowboys who they beat 41-7. Even with Saquon Barkley close to the rushing record against his former team, Barkley and the Eagles plan to rest their starters. Winning means more to the team and that’s their goal in the playoffs.

Malik Nabers Over 6.5 Receptions (-115)

Brian Dabol is fighting and clawing to save his job, and his shiny rookie toy has had one heck of a year. Nabers sits six targets behind Terry Glen’s rookie target record. He also has one more target on the season than Ja’Mar Chase for the lead in the NFL, no rookie has led that category since it became a stat in 1992.

Brock Bowers, the Raiders’ rookie tight end just broke the single-season rookie receptions record, but he’s only four catches ahead of Nabers. Getting the ball to Nabers has been, and will continue to be, the gameplan for the Giants. When they target him, he catches the ball. Nabers has gone over this mark in three straight games, and nine times in 2024. Playing against the Eagles backups, while no slouches should make this pretty simple for Malik.

Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 (-120)

My first thought for this game was to look at the Giants. The Eagles have nothing to gain by winning this game, and as mentioned above they are resting their starters. It would be a nice finger to their division rivals for the Giants to win and get a worse draft pick.

However, I remembered how bad this Giants team is. Despite last week’s lightning in a bottle, it’s hard to imagine they’ll be able to pull something like that off again this week. Tanner McKee is the wild card here, but the Eagles are a well coached team and let’s be honest, they backups are probably just as good as a lot of Giants starters at this point.
