2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Odds and Best Bets

The 2025 season is just around the corner! As 2024 comes to an end it’s time to start looking forward to the 2025 season for NASCAR’s Xfinity Series. There’s been a lot of driver changes, and some drivers are moving up into the Cup Series. Some have moved back down to the Truck Series and quite a few have shifted from one team to another. So let’s jump in and take a look at the 2025 Xfinity Series Championship odds and best bets.

Justin Allgaier finally got it done in Phoenix. After years of trying and being so close, the 38-year-old in his 15th season in the Xfinity Series and ninth with JR Motorsports finally got over the championship hump and raised the championship trophy. Allgaier brought car owner Dale Earnhardt Jr his sixth championship as a car owner in the series. It also marked the fifth year in a row for the champion to win his first title. Allgaier will be the first driver since 2021 (Austin Cindric) to return to the series the following year to defend his title.

Like the Cup Series, NASCAR’s Xfinity Series uses a playoff format that results in four drivers going to Phoenix with a chance to win it all. The best finisher of the four is crowned the champion. The only difference is the Cup Series has 16 drivers in the playoffs while Xfinity has just 12. The Xfinity Series is also just seven races in the playoffs compared to the Cup Series 10.

2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Odds and Best Bets

The Favorite: Connor Zilisch (+800)

I don’t have to go far down the board to find the first driver I want to put my money on. Connor Zilisch is a young prodigy entering his first year of full-time competition. The 18-year-old is already under a development contract with Trackhouse Racing, he’s on loan to drive for JR Motorsports this season in their 88-car full-time.

In the Cup Series, rookies don’t come in and win championships. It’s never happened in NASCAR’s modern era. However, in Xfinity, it’s a different story. This is an all-world talented race car driver who’s already proven with a win and three top fives in four career starts in the series that he’s going to be a threat. Add to that he’s in an elite car at JRM, and their biggest competitor in Joe Gibbs Racing has what I consider their weakest Xfinity lineup in years.

All these things combined make the rookie a great candidate to win it all in his first season. Add on the fact you are getting him at 2.5 times the price of his teammate and it’s a bet worth making today.

Mid-Tier: Jesse Love (+1200)

Hopefully, you listened to the NASCAR Gambling Podcast already when we gave out Love at 20/1 to win the title. His number has been bet down quickly, and for good reason. Even at 12/1, I’d still take Love here. The second-year driver burst onto the scene in 2024 and immediately made himself a contender.

At Richard Childress Racing, the biggest question is can the equipment compete with JRM and JGR week to week but with a strong roster of Austin Hill and Jesse Love I think it can. This is another case of getting the 1B driver at twice at the odds of their veteran teammate and in good with that. Hill made the final four last year, proving that this equipment can get there, and Love had two great runs at Phoenix last year. Count me in, we all need a little Love in our lives, right?

Long-Shot: Christian Eckes (+3500)

Eckes has graduated from the Truck Series into the Xfinity Series. He replaces AJ Allmendinger who moves back into the Cup Series. If you didn’t watch Eckes in the trucks last year, you missed out. He led laps in all but two races during the season and had a stellar year. He was an auto-bet top-three finish every week that just kept cashing for us.

Now you put this tainted driver in a car that made the final four last year, and give us 35/1 odds? I’ll bite on that. Kaulig’s equipment leaves a little to be desired. But in a somewhat weaker field this season in a car that got that last year and a driver who’s won at Phoenix before. Smith is a must-bet at the price.
