A big game this week for both the Los Angeles Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons for playoff implications. The Chargers coming off a home loss in the “Harbaugh Bowl.” Additionally, the Falcons are fresh off a bye week looking to get back on the winning side of the season. The Falcons are in a battle for the NFC South. Below are my Chargers at Falcons Preview and Predictions for the game!
The Chargers come into this game off the Harbaugh Bowl where they took a loss to the Ravens. Now they travel on the road to Atlanta and could be in a possible look-ahead spot against the Chiefs next week. The Chargers will be without J.K. Dobbins for a few weeks as he suffered an injury against the Ravens. Additionally, Denzel Perryman will be out this week for the Chargers.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are fresh off their bye week looking to put behind their loss to the Broncos in Week 11 behind them. The Falcons come into this game healthy and look to stay on course for the NFC South Division title. Will the Falcons be able to find success in the red zone against the Chargers who are a top #5 red zone defense?
Chargers at Falcons Preview and Predictions
Best Bets
The Chargers have been on the road since they moved to SoFi Stadium. Since the 2020 season, the Chargers have been 6-5 SU and 8-3 ATS in non-conference road games. Additionally, the Falcons have been 8-6 SU and 5-9 ATS in home games since last season. Furthermore, since the 2018 season, the Falcons have been 21-34 ATS at home.
The question becomes are the Chargers looking ahead to the Chiefs next week in primetime? Typically, when I see a team coming off a bye-week who got destroyed in their previous game that’s a team I want to back. Since the 2018 season, teams who have the Chiefs on deck are 68-53-1 and 69-52-1 ATS (57%). I’ll back Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers to be focused in this game and take care of the Falcons who haven’t been overly impressive.
Best Bet: Chargers -1

Justin Herbert Over 20.5 Rushing Yards
Herbert has started using his running ability over the past several weeks for the Los Angeles Chargers. In fact, over the last three games, Herbert has a total of 126 rushing yards and has exceeded this projection in all three games. As I mentioned above, the Chargers will be without J.K Dobbins and that may push Herbert to run more.
