San Antonio Spurs vs Utah Jazz

Start Time – 9:00 PM EST

It’s not a big surprise that the Utah Jazz are crummy this season, but it is a slight surprise that the San Antonio Spurs are currently sitting at 9-8 for the season. And I’m in on the Spurs tomorrow on the road.

Based on the advanced stats I use to calculate my spreads, the Spurs are the 11th-best team in the NBA, while Utah is the fifth-worst. The line tomorrow should be San Antonio -5.5, so we’re getting a slight discount on the spread.

Houston Rockets vs Minnesota Timberwolves

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

The Houston Rockets still are flying under the radar for bettors and line makers, and I’ll continue to take advantage of it until the market corrects itself. Based on advanced stats they are the third-best team in the NBA and are much better than the underperforming Minnesota Timberwolves.

Yet we find the Wolves as the favorite for this matchup tomorrow night. Jalen Green is questionable for the visitors, but so is Mike Conley for the home team, and both players plus/minus averages are in the same range, so it’s basically a wash. Even considering home-court advantage, the line here should be Houston -4.5. We’re getting ourselves some value.
