Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills Preview and Predictions

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills Preview and Predictions

The game of the week will take place in Orchard Park, New York on Sunday afternoon. Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs travel to Buffalo to take on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. With kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET and the game to be called by Tony Romo and Jim Nance on CBS. Let’s jump in and take a look at this Chiefs-Bills preview and predictions.

Kansas City remains the only unbeaten team in the National Football League through 10 weeks of play. It hasn’t always been pretty, seven of their nine wins have been by just one possession. Last week’s win over the Denver Broncos came on a blocked field goal attempt at the end of regulation. They always find a way to get it done, but come into this game as underdogs of 2.5 points for the first time this season.

Buffalo checks in at 8-2 on the season with their two losses back to back against the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans in Weeks 4 and 5. If the Bills want a shot at competing for the number one seed in the AFC, this game is pivotal for them.

Travis Kelce Over 65.5 Receiving Yards (-119)

After a slow start to the 2024 season for Kelce that left fantasy managers freaking out, Kelce has quietly been a solid receiver since Week 4. Since Week 4 Kelce has surpassed this number in four of the Chiefs’ six games, coming up just 1.5 yards short last week against Denver.

Travis Kelce also loves to shine when the lights are bright. The lights are bright every time the Chiefs and Bills play, and that is reflected in Kelce’s numbers against them. Kelce has gone over this total in the last four games and five of the last six against the Bills. Expect Kelce to shine bright again on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs +2.5 (-110)

Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are the underdogs. There’s your reason to go bet on them to cover this spread. Mahomes is 11-3 in his career as the underdog and this team thrives on shade being thrown their way. They almost dropped their game against the Broncos last week because they were looking ahead to this one, and they are going to show up prepared.

This Bills team also has no problem beating up on bad opponents. But when it comes to playing good teams, or even decent teams that’s where they struggle. Baltimore took them out back and gave them a beating in Week 4 and they lost to Houston the next week. Arizona should have beaten them, and Miami almost did a few weeks ago. It should be a close game, but you just can’t not take Mahomes in this situation.
