Chicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals Preview and Predictions

Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, and their Chicago Bears head down to Glendale, Arizona on Sunday. They’ll take on Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr, and the Arizona Cardinals. Kickoff between the four-win teams is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS. Let’s take a look at the Bears-Cardinals preview and predictions.

The Chicago Bears led by rookie quarterback Caleb Williams sit at 4-3 through the first eight weeks of the NFL season. The Bears are winners of three of their last four games, losing last week on a devastating Hail Mary pass from Jayden Daniels to give the Washington Commanders the victory. The Bears will be without starting safety Jaquan Brisker. However, things are looking up for nickel back Kyler Gordon, and Tevon Jenkins who participated in a limited practice on Friday. Montez Sweat was held out of practice but remains questionable to play.

The Arizona Cardinals come into Week 9 with a record of 4-4. Their big win against the Miami Dolphins last week was their first back-to-back victories since the 2021 season. They are now winners of three of their last four games. The Cardinals will be without offensive tackle Jonah Williams and defensive lineman Darius Robinson who were both ruled out on Friday. Their right tackle Kelvin Beachum and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting have both been cleared to play Sunday.

Kyler Murray Over 35.5 Rushing Yards (-109)

Kyler Murray is at his best when he’s scrambling out of the pocket and running downfield. Murry has surpassed this rushing total in five of the Cardinals’ eight games this season. The Bears’ defense has been strong this season, but they have shown that running quarterbacks can gain yards on them. Just last week Jayden Daniels ran for 52 yards against them.

Arizona Cardinals -1 (-110)

The Cardinals have had a bit of an up-and-down season, but they’ve shown the ability to play tough teams well. They’ve beat the 49ers, the full-strength Dolphins, and taken the Lions and Bills to the wire.

The Bears are 4-3 this season. They’ve won four home games and lost all three games on the road. They’ve kept their road games close, but can’t close the deal. Coming off the heartbreak of the Hail Mary last week, I think they drop another one this week.
