Best Bet For Tuesday (October 29th): College Football Predictions

For the first time (I think) for my 55 straight days of football best bets, we’re checking in on some Sun Belt Conference football. You can’t be picky and choosy when betting on Tuesday and Wednesday football games. For my best bet for Tuesday, October 29th: College Football Predictions, we’re headed to Jim Wacker Field at UFCU Stadium (catchy name) in San Marcos, Texas, where a streaking team comes in for a visit.

Best Bet For Tuesday (October 29th): College Football Predictions

Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns vs Texas State Bobcats

Start Time – 7:30 PM EST

That streaking team would be the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, winners of four straight games and sole possessor of first place in the Sun Belt Conference’s West Division with a 3-0 conference record (6-1 overall). Despite this, the Texas State Bobcats are the favorites heading into this game and are also my best bet for tomorrow.

Three of SGPN’s college football prognosticators have the Bobcats on the spread as their lock plays for tomorrow, so not many more reasons are needed to make this bet. However, another reason is that Louisiana appears to have used smoke and mirrors to get to its 6-1 mark. Their strength of schedule is currently ranked 126th out of 134 teams in the nation. And the Bobcats have only lost once at home, to the Big 12’s Arizona State.

Best Bet: Texas State -3 (-120)

55 Days of Football Overall Record: 16-8-1 (67%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $648.28
Return on Investment: 27%
