Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – World Series Game 3
Will Smith – Lower than 6.0 Fantasy Points
Will Smith has not been having a banner postseason. in the 13 games he’s played, he’s a combinewd 7-for-44 (.159). He has as many strikeouts as he does hits at this stage. On top of that, this projection is absurdly high considering how he’s looked in this series. He has just eight total fantasy points in the whole series. Being that he’s basely beat the projection in two games, I doubt he will in one on the road.
Freddie Freeman – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases
While Freeman’s playoffs have not been ideal – he seems to have found another gear in the World Series. Going into game one, he was hitting just .219 in October with no extra base hits. Since then, he has gone 3-for-9 (.333) with all of those hits going for extra bases and two of them having left the park. He’ll have the handed advantage against starter Clarke Schmidt and I imagine he’ll jump on something early.
Shohei Ohtani – Lower than 0.5 Stolen Bases
Ohtani’s stolen base attempts have gone way down in October. He’s attempted just two steals and hasn’t been successful yet. He seems uninterested in putting up big steal numbers in the postseason. Additionally, with his injury in game two on the slide, I can’t see Dave Roberts sending him again with the risk of losing him.
