NFL Week 8 Player Prop Best Bets
Jordan Love Over 260.5 Passing Yards
Jordan Love and the Packers offense heads to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars who are struggling on the defensive side. Thus far this season, the Jaguars defense is allowing 285 passing yards per game. Only two quarterbacks have not exceeded this projection: Deshaun Watson and Caleb Williams. I expect Jordan Love to find plenty of success this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
David N’Joku Over 51.5 Receiving Yards
A new quarterback is taking over for the Cleveland Browns, Jameis Winston. The Browns lost Deshaun Watson last week to a torn Achilles that will keep him out for at least 10-12 months. We know the type of quarterback Winston is who loves to air it out. In a game where they are 8-point underdog, I expect the Browns to be in a passing situation in this game.
The Browns traded their #1 wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Bills and that has opened up the opportunity for N’Joku. Last week, N’Joku accumulated 10 receptions on 14 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. Lastly, the Ravens are allowing the second most receiving yards to the tight end positions this season. I love the Over this week for David N’Joku.
Tyler Boyd Over 35.5 Receiving Yards
The theme this season has been to bet on slot wide receivers against the Detroit Lions. Every slot wide receiver this season has gone over their projection against the Lions. Furthermore, the Titans will be without Calvin Ridley due to a foot injury and DeAndre Hopkins who was traded to the Chiefs.
In Week 7, Tyler Boyd accumulated 43 receiving yards on five catches. With the void that Ridley and Hopkins are leaving in this offense, there are plenty of targets available and Boyd should be the beneficiary of that.
Kenneth Walker Over 23.5 Receiving Yards
The Seattle Seahawks are hosting the Buffalo Bills this week and the Bills are allowing one of the most receiving yards to the running back position. In fact, the Bills allow 54 receiving yards per game to the running back position. Five of seven running backs have exceeded this projection against the Bills this season.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker III has been heavily involved in the passing game for the Seahawks In fact, Walker III has gone over this projection in four straight games and is averaging close to six targets per game. I expect Walker III to continue being involved in the passing game.
Patrick Mahomes Over 236.5 Passing Yards
This is the game that Patrick Mahomes has circled after what transpired in training camp with the Raiders pulling out the Kermit The Frog puppet impersonating Mahomes. Mahomes was asked about it before the season starts and he said “It will get handled, when it gets handled.” With the addition of Hopkins to the offense alongside Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt, I expect Mahomes to have a huge game against this Raiders pass defense.
