The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to avenge an overtime loss to their division foe Atlanta Falcons in this NFL Week 8 matchup. These two teams matched up in Week 5 on Thursday Night Football. The big news in this game will be the Buccaneers losing their top two wide receivers on Monday Night Football. Can Baker Mayfield lead the Buccaneers to get the upset victory at home? Below are my Falcons at Buccaneers Preview and Predictions.
As I mentioned above, the Buccaneers will be without their top receivers. Mike Evans aggravated his hamstring and did not return. Evans will miss the next few weeks. Additionally, Chris Godwin dislocated his ankle and will miss the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, the Falcons have been firing on all cylinders and the offense has looked great under Kirk Cousins.
The Falcons come into this game relatively healthy as only Justin Simmons is doubtful with a hamstring injury. Oh by the way, the Buccaneers will be dawning their Creamsicle jerseys in this matchup against the Falcons.

Best Bets
The Atlanta Falcons come into this game as a 2.5-point favorite. Yes, the Buccaneers are depleted by injuries at the receiver positions but they have depth and an opportunity for other players to step up. This will be the Falcons only third road game this season. They beat the lowly Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
I believe the defense will step up in this spot for the Buccaneers. After giving up 36 points in the Week 5 matchup, the Buccaneers can’t afford to get into a shootout in this matchup. I expect the Buccaneers’ running backs to have a big role in this game and run the football effectively. Expect a slow grind-it-out type of game. I’ll take the points here with the home dog!

Bijan Robinson Over 21.5 Receiving Yards
The Buccaneers come into this game allowing running backs to average 52.29 receiving yards per game. We know how dynamic of a player Bijan Robinson is and how he can get it done on the ground and through the air. Bijan did have a game last season where he had 54 receiving yards for the Falcons. The Buccaneers have allowed every running back except for one to get over this projection. That one running back was…Bijan Robinson but I believe this game he will get over this projection.
