Los Angeles Chargers at Arizona Cardinals Preview and Predictions

Los Angeles Chargers at Arizona Cardinals Preview and Predictions

A non-conference battle takes place on Monday Night Football in the second game of a doubleheader. The Los Angeles Chargers head to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. The Chargers are coming off a division win in Week 6 against the Broncos. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals have lost three out of their last four games. Can the Cardinals’ offense find any success against Jim Harbaugh’s defense? Below are my Chargers at Cardinals Preview and Predictions.

The Los Angeles Chargers come into this game hobbled with a pleather of injuries. First, Joey Bosa is listed as doubtful for the game as he battles a hip injury. Additionally, on the offensive side, the Chargers have questionable tags on Ladd McConkey and DJ Chark. Furthermore, the Chargers are listing Joey Bosa (hip) and Quentin Johnson (ankle) as doubtful.

On the other side, the Cardinals get great news on Marvin Harrison Jr. who has cleared concussion protocol and will be ready for the game. Also, Kelvin Beachum participated fully in practice on Saturday. The Cardinals have dropped two of their three home games thus far this season and look to bounce here as a home underdog in this matchup.

Best Bets

As I mentioned above, the Chargers are off a division road win against the Denver Broncos and made it look easy. They entered the fourth quarter of the game with a 23-0 lead and eventually won the game 23-16. Meanwhile, the Cardinals’ inconsistencies continue to haunt this team. But I believe the injuries are too much for the Chargers to overcome.

Possibly being without their top wide receivers in this game will put immense pressure on J.K Dobbins in this game but that could be an advantage. The Cardinals rush defense ranks third worst in the entire league allowing 153 rushing yards per game. Furthermore, the Cardinals are allowing 4.7 yards per carry. The Chargers thus far this season have not seen a game with a game over 40 points. The philosophy has changed under Jim Harbaugh. Play good defense and run the football effectively.

I do expect this to be a lower-scoring grind-it type of game but I am banking on the Cardinals to respond on their home-field on Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Best Bet: Cardinals +1 and Under 44

J.k Dobbins Over 78.5 Rushing Yards

As I mentioned above, the Arizona Cardinals’ defense has been struggling thus far this season. The one bright spot for the Chargers offense has been the emergence of J.K Dobbins. Thus far this season he is averaging 87.6 rushing yards per game on 5.4 yards per carry. Dobbins has gone over this projection in three out of the five games this season. I expect there to be plenty of carries for Dobbins in this game against a poor rush defense.
