Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons Preview and Predictions

Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons Preview and Predictions

The Seattle Seahawks make their way to Atlanta to take on the Falcons. The Seahawks come into this game with extended rest as they played on Thursday Night in Week 6. Meanwhile, the Falcons come into this game making easy work of the Panthers with a 38-20 victory. Two teams are going in opposite directions the Falcons are on a three-game winning streak and the Seahawks are on a three-game losing streak. Below are my Seahawks at Falcons predictions.

Despite getting off to a fast start to the season, the Seahawks find themselves on the struggle bus. The Seahawks have dropped three straight games in the midst of a competitive NFC West division race early in the season. Meanwhile, the Falcons are hitting their stride taking care of business, and finding plenty of success on offense.

This will be a big test for both teams and could have seeding implications in the playoffs. The biggest struggle for the Seahawks has been on defense during the three-game losing streak. In fact, the Seahawks have allowed at least 29 points over the last three games. Can they fix their defensive woes this week?

Best Bets

As I mentioned above, the defense has been a struggle for the Seahawks over the last three games allowing 35.7 points per game. The challenge doesn’t get easier this week as the Falcons’ offense led by Kirk Cousins, Bijan Robinson, and Drake London is firing on all cylinders. Furthermore, both of the Seahawks’ games on the road have gone over the total.

On the other side, the Falcons have struggled this season at home. In their four home teams, the Falcons are just 1-3 ATS. The Seahawks come into this game with the rest advantage and that could be a factor in this game. But I believe this will turn into a barn burner and see plenty of points being scored. I will take the points with the Seahawks and will be on the Over.

Bijan Robinson Over 63.5 Receiving Yards

The one area the Seahawks have struggled the most over the past several weeks has been on the ground. In fact, over the last three weeks, at least four running backs have gone over this projection of 64 rushing yards. Furthermore, over the last three weeks, opposing teams have averaged 173 rushing yards per game and 5.5 yards per carry. I expect the Falcons to run early and often with Bijan and put up the yards in huge chunks.
