Redraft Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart – September 2024 Update

The Methodology

What is a trade value chart, you ask? Our methodology takes FantasyPros Rest of Season Rankings and average points per game. After that, consider points above replacement level player and average draft position. Is that it? No, that’s not it! Finally, we tweak the numbers ever so slightly to make sure it all makes sense.

This fantasy football trade value chart is different than the dynasty trade value chart that you can find here. One of the main differences is this solely focuses on fantasy output and change in value rather than age, as the dynasty chart heavily considers.

Quarterbacks Recap

Josh Allen tops the fantasy football trade value chart for quarterbacks. He is currently leading the league in fantasy points per game at the position with 24. Jalen Hurts is behind him, averaging 18.4. However, one of those games seemed like an anomaly, scoring much less than he normally does.

In third is Patrick Mahomes. Even though the season hasn’t started how Mahomes’ managers had been hoping, we all know who Patrick Mahomes is. Despite not having the same connection with Travis Kelce (YET), we know he can take off at any moment.

C.J. Stroud and Lamar Jackson are next. Stroud has a plethora of weapons to throw to and took the world by storm last year. Lamar has a high rushing ceiling that helps elevate his fantasy football scores every week.

Running Backs Recap

Here’s a great example of how the redraft fantasy football trade value chart differs from the dynasty. In the dynasty, Breece Hall sits at the top spot, because of his performance and age. Since the redraft doesn’t look at age, it has the top running back for fantasy points per game, Barkley at the top.

Breece does come in at the second spot, however, Barkley is currently averaging 8 more points per game in a PPR league than Breece. Bijan is third, having 15.2 fantasy points per game.

Behind him is Jonathan Taylor who just showed against the Bears why he’s still one of the best in the league. Fifth is Jahmyr Gibbs. While Gibbs tends to get out carried by David Montgomery, he still puts up high fantasy football points, especially in the receiving game.

Wide Receivers Recap

Surprisingly Ja’Marr Chase is at the top of the redraft fantasy football trade value chart. While he started the season slow, a two-touchdown performance on Monday night showed he can still dominate, even when the Bengals aren’t winning games.

Tied with him is rookie Malik Nabers, who is averaging 22.8 fantasy points per game and has looked really good. Even when he has 50% of the target share, defenses are still having an issue slowing him.

In third is A.J. Brown, who now unfortunately is missing a couple of games. However, his injury is not though to be serious and he will be back soon, as one of the top receivers in the league.

Amon-Ra St. Brown and CeeDee Lamb are next. Everybody knows of their talent and potential, and despite a slower start than some fantasy managers were hoping, they can pop off for big points in any given game.

Tight Ends Recap

It has once again been a really weird year for tight ends. At least to start. Trey McBride finds himself at the top of the redraft fantasy football trade value chart. We will see if he can stay up there. However, for now he’s averaging 10.7 fantasy points per game. Averaging a little more, but perhaps in a less-potent offense, is Brock Bowers. He comes in at number two.

There is still hope Sam LaPorta will get back to games like last year. Even though he’s started with a 5.8 fantasy point per game average, he showed last year he can be a league winner. The same can be said for Dalton Kincaid, who has had a 7.5-point average and is also letting some managers down.

Finally in fifth place is George Kittle. He technically has the highest points per game average with 14.3, however, he is now hurt. That has been the risk with drafting Kittle for awhile now. He’s got a high-motor and plays at a high level, but he doesn’t back down. Catching, taking hits, blocking, the do-it-all tight end often leaves with some aches and pains.
