Week three of the NFL season is here, and we can finally make some takeaways about teams. We thought we knew what to look for after week one, but bettors took an absolute beating in week two. After learning a lot more about these teams, we have enough of information to make a nice read on this matchup. Take a look below for the Bears-Colts predictions.
Chicago Bears at Indianapolis Colts Preview and Predictions
Caleb Williams has had a rude awakening to his NFL life. Through two games, he has thrown for just 267 yards and has an touchdown-interception ratio of 0 to 2. With any rookie, growing pains will be a part of the process but that is not what you want to see from the number one overall pick.

Last week, Chicago was one of the chalk picks of the week. They lost in Green Bay as 2.5-point favorites against a backup QB in Malik Willis. The Colts could not get anything going offensively and were gashed by the run game of Green Bay. In week one, the Colts had a much better showing against a really solid Houston team. It almost felt like they looked past their opponent in Green Bay in week two.
Bears +2
Both of these teams have questions to be answered on the offensive side. Caleb Williams and the Bears offense are yet to get going at all, while the Colts offense has looked extremely hit or miss.
Like I stated last week, there is going to be a moment in time in which Caleb Williams simply figures it out. I believe this is a week where we will see signs of progress from Caleb. The Bears should be able to get the run game going against this Colts front, who has been vulnerable against the run. From there, Caleb will be able to take shots around his talented skill positions. I would have expected this line to be a tad longer, but the shortness of the line tells us what we need to know about the home team. Take the small dogs on the road after reading this Bears Colts Preview.
D’Andre Swift Anytime Touchdown
Once the bears finally get towards the goal line, they are going to give the ball to the horse in D’Andre Swift. He is itching to score after scoring a handful last season. Look for the Bears to be competent in this game and Swift to find the endzone.
