Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins Preview and Predictions

Bills at Dolphins Preview and Predictions

NFL Week 2 kicks on Thursday Night Football with a battle of two AFC East teams. The Buffalo Bills visit the Miami Dolphins in a pivotal division matchup early in the season. Both teams had to come from behind in their Week 1 games respectively to win the game. The books expect a close game in this matchup on Thursday Night Football. Below are my Bills at Dolphins Preview and Predictions.

Bills at Dolphins Preview and Predictions

Josh Allen had a tremendous effort in Week 1 at home against the Cardinals. The Bills fell behind by two scores and Allen put the Bills on his back and carried them to a six-point victory. Further, Allen finished the game with four total touchdowns, two rushing and two passing. Meanwhile, the Dolphins also had to come from behind against the Jaguars. The offense looked a bit rusty early on. However, the Dolphins made explosive plays on offense and came up with a big fumble recovery.

The Miami Dolphins do come into this game with a few injury concerns. They will be without running back Raheem Mostert who is dealing with a chest injury. Additionally, special teams player and safety Elijah Campbell will be out for this game. De’Von Achane is dealing with an ankle injury but all indications are that he will be able to play in this game on Thursday night.

Best Bets

The Buffalo Bills have found plenty of success on the road against the Dolphins. In fact, since the 2015 season, the Bills are 6-3 SU and 6-3 ATS against the Dolphins on the road. That includes winning five out of the last six games straight up in Miami. Home favorites on Thursday Night Football games in Week 2 in particular are 7-3 SU however only 2-7 ATS. Additionally, since the 2018 season, the Bills are 5-1 ATS as a dog in the division road games.

The Bills did have a lot of turnover in the secondary and will have their hands full against the speed of Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill. The question becomes can the Bills secondary prevent the explosive plays from the Dolphins? I am going to bank of the Bills and Josh Allen to keep this one close and even win this game outright.

Best Bet: Bills +2.5
