Jaguars and Dolphins Preview and Predictions
The Jacksonville Jaguars come into this season with a few new faces on the offensive side. Gabe Davis comes over from the Buffalo Bills to replace Calvin Ridley who departed for the Titans. Trevor Lawerence enters his fourth season as the starting quarterback for the Jaguars and it almost feels like a make-or-break year. However, Trevor Lawerence secured his bag in the off-season.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins are hoping for a season where the team can stay healthy. We’ve seen various injuries across the board over the past several seasons. When it matters the most, can the Dolphins get over the hump? Last season, the Dolphins finished 11-6, second in the AFC East, and fell short in the AFC Wild Card game to the eventual Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Miami Dolphins come into this game with injuries on the defensive side of the football. First and foremost, Jalen Ramsey, who signed a three-year extension on Friday with the team is dealing with a hamstring injury. Furthermore, Terron Armstead, Calais Campbell, and Jaelan Phillips all had a vet rest day on Wednesday. However, the indications are they should be ready to go in Week 1.
The Dolphins have had plenty of success at home since the 2022 season. In fact, the Dolphins are 13-4 SU (76.5%) and 11-6 ATS (64.7%) in their home games. The question becomes will the Jaguars have enough to keep up with the prolific offense of the Dolphins? I am not so sure.
