Seven months have passed, but we have finally made it to the NFL season. Week 1, game 1 is always a treat, and how could you not be excited for Lamar Jackson vs. Patrick Mahomes? The defending Super Bowl champions host the first game of the season for the second straight year. Last year, it did not go too well for them as Jared Goff and Co. came into Arrowhead and narrowly defeated the Chiefs as touchdown underdogs. The early preview for this one has a different outcome for the Chiefs and Ravens.

Lamar Jackson fell short yet again last year and surely has high hopes for this game. In his career, he is 1-4 against Patrick Mahomes. His only win came back in 2021 when Baltimore narrowly defeated KC in week two. Although Kansas City has the Super Bowl to hang their hat on, Jackson comes into this season after winning another MVP. He should be extremely confident. Plus, they add Derrick Henry in the offseason to make the offense even better.
Don’t look now, but The Chiefs offense looks even better… Scary thing to say. They add Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy to the roster of Wide Receivers to have one of the most dangerous and fastest trios in the league. Sadly for this game, Brown is dealing with an injury and will not get to play against his old team.
Baltimore Ravens vs Kansas City Chiefs Bets
Kansas City starts the season as three-point home favorites. Simply put, this is not enough points. Money is coming in on Baltimore with the mindset that Kansas City will have some sort of Super Bowl hangover or come out slow. I believe that Kansas City learned from their week one mistakes last season and will come out the gates much stronger.
Baltimore has been a great regular-season team over the last few years, but keeping it close at Arrowhead is never an easy task. Do not try to get too cute with the Ravens at such a small plus-money price; lay the points and enjoy watching Patrick Mahomes do his thing. Any preview or thoughts on this game has to start and end with the Mahomes-led Chiefs being better than the Lamar-led Ravens.
