Along with the British Grand Prix, the Italian Grand Prix is the other Grand Prix that has been on every F1 championship schedule since the 1950s inaugural season. F1 Italian Grand Prix Best Bets
Pierre Gasly Points Finish (+450) & Winner Without (+1200)
Last week, Pierre Gasly cashed us both a points finish (+400) and the best finishing car without the top five teams (+1000) on the F1 Gambling Podcast, so we’re going to run both these bets back.
Last season, Gasly finished 15th at the Italian Grand Prix, but the year before that, in a VCARB car, He was able to score an eighth-place finish. Gasly had a rough two races at the British GP, where he didn’t even start the race, and the Hungarian GP, where he finished last place.
If you toss those two outlier bad finishes out, Pierre has finished in the points in five of the last six races. After a rough start to the season for this Alpine team, things have turned around. I’m going to ride the hand while it’s hot.
Oscar Piastri Podium Finish (+100)
McLaren has seemingly taken over the top spot when it comes to best constructors on the paddock. While Lando Norris was the lead car in that charge, young Oscar Piastri wasn’t very far behind.
Piastri has finished in the top two in three of the last five Grand Prix and top four in the last five Grand Prix. In nine of the 15 events this season, he found himself at the podium at the end of the day. I’ll also be taking Piastri outright (+650) as an insurance play on his teammate.
Lando Norris to Win (+120)
There may be some concern about McLaren’s straightaway speed at this circuit, but I’ve seen all I need to see from them recently, especially after Norris’ good old-fashioned butt-whooping in the field with a 22-second winning margin last week in the Dutch Grand Prix.
His ability to recover from a bad start at lights out and then blow the doors off Max Verstappen and company was impressive. Norris has finished inside of the top two in seven of the last 11 Grand Prix in 2024.
