Sabrina Ionescu – Higher than 6.5 Assists
New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu will be suiting up for Team USA in the All-Star Game tonight, so she’ll have even more firepower to pass to than she has on the talent-laden Liberty roster.
So we’re taking the higher than 6.5 assists for Ionescu for this game. She averages 6.1 apg during the WNBA season, and with more talent surrounding her tonight and the high-scoring nature of All-Star Games, I think she can get us seven dimes.
Breanna Stewart – Higher than 14.5 Points
One of the familiar faces that Ionescu will be passing to tonight is Liberty teammate Breanna Stewart. ‘Stew’ is seventh in the WNBA in scoring this season, averaging 19.3 ppg (half a point less than Ionescu).
Can Stewart get up enough shots to get us 15 points? She did while playing for Team USA at the 2020 Olympics (played in 2021), where she averaged right at the 15-point mark.
Jackie Young – Lower than 13.5 Points
I can’t take every player to go higher than tonight, can I?! Let’s take the lower than 13.5 points for Las Vegas Aces’ guard Jackie Young, who will also be competing on the women’s national team after winning a gold at the 2020 Olympics on the 3×3 team.
Young ‘only’ scores 18.5 ppg this season in the desert, and there are only going to be so many shots to go around for this stacked USA team, especially for a bench player, which is what she is projected to be.
