The scoring was oddly not as elite as we would have expected in round one of the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic. Sure, there were birdies out there, but far more golfers played poorly than they usually do around Detroit Golf Club. Tom Kim Less Than 68 Strokes
Not sure if Tom Kim was tired or simply had an off day. Either way, TK had a horrific round one of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He is too solid and complete of a golfer to go down without a fight. The pre-tournament favorite surely has a very low round in him tomorrow, and I expect that to be the case.
The stats were all in all bad, but leading into the event, Kim made plenty of sense. He is a great but in round two of The Rocket Mortgage Classic and a great leg to help cash you an Underdog Fantasy Pick ‘Em slip.
Mark Hubbard 1.5 Bogeys or Worse
Hubbard shot a one under 71 in round one. He made a bogey and a double in that round. This is a very manageable line, especially for a golfer of Hubbard’s skill level. Hubbard is a fine player who prefers easy conditions, but there is no reason for his line for bogeys to be 1.5. A simple mistake can lead to a bogey a heart beat. Hubbard is a great fade in round two of The Rocket Mortgage Classic.
