F1: Formula One Spanish Grand Prix Odds and Best Bets
The last few races on the Formula One schedule have been exciting. Red Bull and Max Verstappen don’t seem to have the edge over the field that they had in the past. They are now being challenged by McLaren, Ferrari, and even Mercedes. The days of Max Verstappen’s -700 to open the week are gone. While he still opens at -200 this week, it shows more hope that this team can be beaten.
Odds to Win Spanish Grand Prix
Max Verstappen -200
Lando Norris +500
Charles Leclerc +800
Oscar Piastri +2200
Carlos Sainz +2200
Lewis Hamilton +2500
Sergio Perez +2500
George Russell +2500
Fernando Alonso +10000
Winning Margin Under 10.5 Seconds (-125)
Last season at the Spanish GP, Max Verstappen blew the field out of the water like he did in about every race, winning by a 24-second margin. In 2022, the margin was 13 seconds, and in 2021, it was 15 seconds. None of these are a great case for taking the under, but we’ve seen the tide turn lately and this is a great place to still take advantage.
The last four Grand Prix in 2024 have all gone to the underside of 10.5 seconds, despite the 2023 version of most of those going over. The over has only hit in four races this season, all four in the first five Grand Prix of 2024. So, if the field really has shrunk and caught up, this is a great way to pounce on that.
Yuki Tsunoda Top Points Finish (-120)
This has been a go-to bet all season on the F1 Gambling Podcast. Yuki Tsunoda has had a great season so far in 2024. In five of the last seven races on the F1 schedule, Yuki has landed in the points (top 10 finish).
Last race out, he was solidly in the points all day until a late spin in Canada forced him to settle for a 14th-place finish. Last season, Yuki scored a 12th-place finish here, not having nearly the season he is this year. And in 2022, Yuki landed in the points for the Spanish GP.
Lewis Hamilton has 6 wins in Spain. His first was in 2014. Once again, it was the two Mercedes of Lewis and Nico battling it out for the win! A common occurrence throughout the year! 🏁 🇪🇸 #F1 #SpanishGP #LewisHamilton #TeamLHpic.twitter.com/kOTZtgX7uP

Lewis Hamilton Podium Finish (+425)
Lewis Hamilton is coming off “one of the worst performances of my career” in Canada, the superstar had to say. That horrible performance was a fourth-place finish after giving up the last podium spot to teammate George Russell in the waning laps of the Canadian GP. The season started pretty rough for the Mercedes team but has slowly improved as the season has progressed.
Hamilton has yet to reach the podium this season, but coming off a strong run last time out, top-six runs in three of the last four rounds, and a second-place finish here in 2023, while teammate George Russell scored the double Mercedes podium at 4/1 seems like a great time for the 7-time champ to get back on the podium.
Max Verstappen + Lando Norris Both to Finish on the Podium (-125)
This one is a pretty simple little same-game parlay being offered over on Caesars. You get the best two performers in the field so far this season in a nice bundle. It even leaves room on the podium for Hamilton! This combo has finished on the podium in four of the last five rounds of the 2024 season, with Monaco being the lone exception. They have finished 1-2 in all four races.
