Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – June 8

Gunnar Henderson – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases

Henderson has been hot as of late (or on the whole season for that matter). He has hits in nine of his last ten games. Furthermore, he has an extra base hit in six of those games. That’s already all the enticement I need for this line, but there’s much more. He also gets to face Taj Bradley, who he is a career 4-for-9 (.444) off of with a homer. Plus, this is currently listed as a ‘Pick’em Scorcher’ at 1.1x – which means you’ll get even more on your play.

Yandy Diaz – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases

Sticking in that same game, Yandy Diaz hasn’t been as hot as Henderson, but has been on a nice run of his own. He has a hit in five of his last six games and, like Henderson, plenty have been for extra bases. He has an extra-base hit in three of those. Also like Henderson, he’ll face a pitcher he’s gotten the better of. He’s a career 7-for-16 (.438) off of Kyle Bradish with a double and a triple.

Sean Manaea – Higher than 1.5 Walks Allowed

Manaea has been on a good run of not walking batters. He issued a pair of free passes last game, but prior had gone four straight starts without hitting this mark. Still, I think he issues at least two here again for two reasons. Firstly, he walked more than one per inning in the month on April. Secondly, the Phillies are third in the league in drawing walks. As a result, I think we should get at least two here.
