Collegiate Baseball continues to grow, and it is amazing to see! One of the biggest examples of the sport’s growth has been the NCAA Baseball gambling market. Conference tournament season is here! College Baseball Picks May 24th
All College Baseball Bets Are To Win 1 Unit
7:00 PM -160 Wake Forest vs North Carolina +124
PROBABLE PITCHERS
Wake Forest: Chase Burns JR RHP (10-1, 2.63 ERA, 169 K, 24 BB, 89 IP, 0.31 SIERA)
North Carolina: Shea Sprague JR LHP (3-1, 4.03 ERA, 51 K, 12 BB, 60.1 IP, 3.57 SIERA)
I say this in the nicest, most complimentary way, Chase Burns is a maniac. Burns leads the country in strikeouts by a mile. His only blemish on his record this season was against North Carolina. The Tar Heels tagged him for 4 home runs, 6 earned runs, on 9 hits, in 6.1 innings. Burns still struck out 14 hitters in that outing! Supposedly there is a rumor going around Charlotte this week that Burns could not wait for today’s game and his opportunity for revenge against UNC.
Shea Sprague opposes Burns on the bump today. Sprague faced Wake Forest earlier this year and he didn’t look anything special. His final line read 5 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 1 K. Sprague was getting hit around and wasn’t missing many bats.
Plus, this time around the Demon Deacons have a healthy Nick Kurtz. The slugger will surely join Burns inside the top 10 picks of the 2024 MLB Draft. Earlier this season, UNC was the first series Kurtz returned from injury for. In 50 games this season Kurtz has smashed 21 home runs with a .313 average and 1.315 OPS.
-160 Wake Forest ML (DraftKings)
12:30 PM +114 Mercer vs Samford -145
PROBABLE PITCHERS
Mercer: TBA
Samford: Michael Ross SR RHP (12-0, 2.82 ERA, 83 K, 18 BB, 89.1 IP, 3.34 SIERA)
This will be Mercer’s 3rd game of the SoCon Tournament, but Samford’s 1st, therefore they’re starting their Ace. Michael Ross has been dominant and was awarded the SOCON Pitcher of the Year. Ross tied a school record with 12 wins, posting a perfect 12-0 record this season. Ross leads the SoCon in both ERA and wins. He struck out 83 batters, while allowing just 18 walks. In SoCon play, he went 7-0, winning his start in all seven SoCon series. During his first start against Mercer Ross tossed 7 innings allowing 6 hits and only 1 run.
5:00 PM -150 Oklahoma State vs Texas Tech
PROBABLE PITCHERS
Oklahoma State: Sam Garcia SR RHP (6-3, 3.61 ERA, 102 K, 18 BB, 77.1 IP, 2.27 SIERA)
Texas Tech: TBA
This handicap is very similar to the Samford one. Texas Tech is playing their 4th game of the Big 12 conference tournament, this will be Oklahoma State’s 3rd. TTU was already a team that lacked top tier starting pitching and now they do not have a solid option remaining to start this game.
On the other hand the Pokes will be starting their Ace on full rest. Two weeks ago Sam Garcia faced the Red Raiders, he shoved for 7 innings, striking out 10, allowing just one earned run. I am anticipating a ton of CLV on this play and more of the same success from Garcia at Globe Life Field today.
