Edmonton Oilers vs Dallas Stars

Start Time – 8:40 pm EST

With their backs against the wall, the Edmonton Oilers pulled off back-to-back wins over the Vancouver Canucks to make it to their second Western Conference Finals in the past three years. Now if they are to make their first Stanley Cup Finals since 2006, they’ll have to get past the second-best team in the NHL this season, the Dallas Stars.

For my best bet for Thursday, I’m taking the over for Game 1 in Dallas. These teams ended up third (Dallas) and fourth (Edmonton) in scoring the NHL during the regular season. Edmonton scored 24 goals in their seven-game series against the Canucks; Dallas managed 22 in six games against the Colorado Avalanche. I like more than six pucks to find their way into the net on Thursday night.
