Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 19

Kyle Schwarber – Higher than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Schwarber gets a familiar foe on Sunday in Trevor Williams. The two have faced off 49 times in their respective careers. Schwarber has hit .286 in that span, which is quite high for him. However, the thing that sticks out is the slugging. He’s slugging .762 against Williams on the heels of six home runs. That means he’s hitting homers at a 12.2% clip against Williams. There’s a good chance Schwarber could meet this projection with his first at-bat.

Jack Suwinski – Higher than 0.5 Total Bases

Speaking of guys with a good pitching matchup, Jack Suwinski comes in today to face Jameson Taillon – which might not seem like a gift to most people. However, Suwinski is a career 4-for-5 off of Taillon with a walk. That sample size might seem small, but the results are also large. Three of those four hits have been dingers. With a guy who doesn’t hit all that many home runs, those results can’t be overlooked. He clearly sees Taillon well.

Seth BRown – Higher than 0.5 Total Bases

We’re just going to fill the lineup with guys who have hot head-to-heads. Seth Brown loves him some Mitch Keller. He’s 6-for-10 career against him and, like Suwinski, three of them have been home runs. He’s been a bit cold lately, which is driving this projection down a bit, but I like this matchup to get him out of the slump.
